Surgery went well

Praise God!! Surgery went as good as could be expected. Dr. said there was an extreme amount of scar tissue so he removed the base of the occipital bone and left it out. He placed another graft in the dura to alleviate pressure on the spinal cord. All of the scar tissue that could be removed was taken out. She had her C-1 vertabrae was removed during her first decompression 2 years ago and there are many case studies that show removing the C-2 causes too much instability. Therefore he left that in place and was still able to create much more room. She was recently extubated. Going back now.

Praise God. We are so happy that the surgery went well and that it was shorter than expected. God is looking out for you guys. We will continue to pray for protection and complete recovery and of course, peace. Just know you are not alone and that the waiting room and Haley's room is crowded with the many angels that have been sent to minister to your family today. We love you guys.
