I was woken up by security at 4:00am and they asked if my name is Pete. I told them yes and why are you asking me this early. He said, "I hate to be the one to tell you, but your truck is on fire in the garage." I spent some time with Hermann security and HPD officers before Michelle and I went to check the vehicle. It is a total loss. I cannot fathom how else the devil can attack us. We are in shock and just can't comprehend something this random. However, I can still give God the glory because if the only reason Haley had surgery at this time was so that the truck did not catch my house on fire, then lives were saved. Please pray that God opens a door for another vehicle. I had two payments left on the truck and it was worth more running than what insurance will pay. I guess you know where to find us because we can't go anywhere. I will post again when I am more coherent.

What a whirlwind!! We are so sorry about your night and your loss. But praise God that you none of you are hurt and that it wasn't at home in your garage as you said. None the less, I'm sure there are a lot of emotions that you have to battle and we will battle that for you as well. We pray that God will do "above and beyond anything you could ask or imagine" for with Haley, your vehicle and finances to take care of this situation. May His angels dance around you ministering to you in ways that are beyond our comprehension. We love you guys and we will see soon.

We pray right now that your lives will soon be routine and mundane with everyone healthy. We pray that the car situation will be resolved quickly and in a way that is so much better than anyone could have ever expected. You all continue to stay strong, as you have so many people praying for you and over you. The Lord will not foresake you! He is smiling down on you, as you face satan's relentless attacks. Always remember the Lord has great plans for you! The here and now isn't fun, but you are not alone. We will triumph together!
My heart aches as I get caught up on your blog. I pray the Holy Spirit fills you with hope and peace during this roller coaster ride. Continue to focus on Him, not on Satan's doings. Your family is truly amazing and He has such wonderful things in store for you. Keep your eyes and hearts looking upwards.
Love to you all. Cathy
Wow! We are praying continually for little Haley and the rest of you as well. We hope to be coming by later today for a visit. God Bless you with his strentgh and peace. Love Jerry & Suzzette
We are praying for Haley this morning - we pray that she would continue to recover and heal and without ANY complications or scares. She is such an angel with her milky skin - just like mine Michelle - ha! What a stunner she is:) Please do not allow the loss of your car to become a distraction - but keep you eyes on God - we love you guys!
We continue to pray for all of you and for haley's speedy recovery. We love you all and stay strong and know God is present at all times.
OH MY GOSH!!!!
In case you're wondering, your weekend has been more exciting than mine. You haven't posted since this morning, has a tornado hit the hospital since then. That's unbelievable. Do you need to borrow a car? Sean Sipko's is nice. I called you last night, I'll check in tonight. Hang in there. We were thinking about coming down some time this weekend. Let us know if that's a good idea. We don't tend to come in under the radar. Lizzy keeps asking about Haley Tiffany's sister. You might need to check with security, before we come. How about getting a moped? Those are cool and the gas mileage!!!
